Coordinator of Earth Observation Unit at Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera, the Portuguese National Meteorological Service

Isabel Trigo graduated in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and received her the Ph.D. degree from the University of East Anglia (UK).
She has followed a research career in Meteorology and Climatology for more than 20-years, working on climate variability, land-atmosphere interactions and applications of remote sensing observations to characterize and monitor land surfaces.
She is the scientific coordinator for the EUMETSAT Satellite Applications Facility on Land Surface Analysis (LSA-SAF) and the Coordinator of IPMA’s Earth Observation Unit.
